I stand in rebellion
against the culture of
disposability.
The techniques I use are rooted in centuries of craftsmanship,
relying on natural, stable, and noble materials.
Egg tempera on traditional gesso, encaustic, pastel on abrasive
grounds (carborundum) — these are my preferred mediums.
They are rare today, yet their potential remains inexhaustible:
they invite experimentation, demand struggle, and foster growth.
My approach differs from the conceptual mindset
that dominates the art world.
I am not trying to illustrate an idea, but to
shape in matter what words cannot say.
