ARTISTIC APPROACH

I stand in rebellion

against the culture of

disposability.

In a world where art is too often reduced to something quick or ephemeral,
I choose instead demanding and permanent techniques that restore
the primacy of matter and of sensory perception.

The techniques I use are drawn from ancestral know-how
and rely on natural, stable, and noble materials.

Egg tempera on traditional gesso, encaustic, and pastel on
abrasive grounds (carborundum) are my preferred mediums. Rare today,
they nevertheless hold inexhaustible potential: they invite experimentation,
the confrontation of new challenges, and growth.

Through them, I choose to place matter above concept.
I believe that sensory perception is the driving force of artistic evolution,
and that its rejection inevitably leads to stagnation.

True art is not born in the intellect;
it takes shape through direct experience — physical and sensory.
My approach stands apart from the conceptual tendency
that dominates the art world today.
